How Bilingual Mode Works
When bilingual mode is enabled, your AI:- Listens to the caller’s first few words
- Detects the language automatically
- Switches to that language for the rest of the call
- Handles everything in the detected language — greetings, questions, bookings, lead capture
Your AI uses ElevenLabs multilingual voices, which naturally support all five languages with proper pronunciation and intonation.
Setting Up Bilingual Mode
Choose your secondary language
Your primary language is set automatically. Use the Secondary Language dropdown to choose which additional language to support. For example, if your primary language is English and you choose Spanish, your AI will answer in English by default but switch to Spanish when it detects a Spanish-speaking caller.
What Stays in English
Even when your AI is speaking in another language, certain things stay in English behind the scenes:- Lead data — names, emails, phone numbers are stored as-is
- Appointment details — service names, dates, and times in your dashboard
- Function call values — the data sent to your calendar, CRM, and integrations
